Week 53

What a great week 53.

There were 6 of us. A big team and we decided to all work as a group in one part of the towpath all together for moral support. Much more fun, banter and motivation. I almost felt like we needed music to help us along as we were in such good spirits. Some lovely generous souls left us a set of dining room chairs. Thrones. Of course. A perfect team photo opportunity and taken by a lovely passer by. We found 3 trophy’s today. Fatima, the religious ornament, was pulled out from the canal full of water. A pink T Rex and a tiny doll. Jim found wheels and in true tradition the person that finds the wheels has to sit on them for a photo. A beautiful morning, fun and topped off with shortbread supplied by Liz. Tomorrow (Sunday) Elizabeth Henderson and I, along with David Posnett are heading to Hayes Canal Festival. We have a stand to promote our newly constituted group, Friends of Grand Union Canal, and our work, to the visitors. Come along and support us. 12-5pm. #foguc #friendsofgrandunioncanal #thrones #litterpicking #cleanertowpathsforeveryone #saturdayjob Then I ran home in the sunshine.
